Walked into a job site in Phoenix last week and found three different types of coax splitters daisy-chained together

The signal loss must have been insane, has anyone else run into setups like that where you just stop and wonder what the previous guy was thinking?

Found one in Tucson last year where someone had used a 3-way splitter to combine three different cable runs into one line. The signal was so noisy you could practically hear the neighbors watching TV through the static. Makes you wonder if they thought splitters work like extension cords or something.

Whoa, three splitters daisy-chained is crazy, how did they think that would end well?

Three of them daisy chained? Man I feel your pain. I pulled a similar setup out of a house in Mesa last year where they had a 2-way splitter feeding into a 4-way splitter feeding into another 2-way splitter all crammed behind a wall plate. The signal was so weak the modem would only connect at like 5 Mbps if it was lucky. Had to rerun everything with a proper distribution amplifier just to get basic internet working.
