Can we talk about how everyone is cleaning focus rings with the wrong solvent and ruining the grease?
I have seen 4 separate repair jobs this month where someone soaked a lens focus ring in isopropyl alcohol thinking it would fix the stiffness, but all it did was strip the factory damping grease and now the ring spins loose and the customer wants me to fix a problem that did not exist before.
