I quit cleaning focus screens with canned air after a Nikon FE job in Portland went sideways
A customer brought in a clean FE last Tuesday and I hit the screen with canned air like always, and one blast of propellant spit a frosty streak right across the matte. That streak never came off, so I ate the cost of a $40 replacement screen plus two days of back and forth with the guy, who was nice about it but I still felt like an idiot. Anyone else here using a rocket blower and a soft brush only, or is there a trick I am missing?
