Spent 4 hours chasing a weird shutter squeak that turned out to be a single, tiny hair from my cat wrapped around the advance lever axle.

Anyone else ever had a repair turn into a wild goose chase over something completely ridiculous?

Yeah that's the worst feeling. Like you do everything right and something still slips through. Makes you wonder if any system is really foolproof. Maybe it's just me but I've found typos have a way of hiding until it's too late.
