The shutter curtain on a Pentax 67 I was working on just tore clean across the middle.
It happened yesterday while I was checking the slow speeds, and now I'm looking at a full curtain replacement. Has anyone found a good source for 67 curtains lately?

Brutal. That sound is just the worst. I had to get a curtain from a parts body too, it was my only real option. The whole process is a huge hassle and pretty expensive now. Really makes you think twice about running the slow speeds on these old cameras.

Yeah the slow speeds are a death sentence for these old cloth shutters. Honestly I'd just start babying them from now on. Try not to use anything under 1/30 if you can help it. And if you ever need another curtain again, there's a guy on the Pentax Forums classifieds who parts out 67 bodies regularly. He's legit and the price is way better than eBay gambling. Just search "67 parts" in the marketplace section.

Tore the curtain on my 67 last year trying to fix a sticky 1/1000th. Felt like a real genius that day. I ended up getting a donor curtain from a parts camera on eBay, but it was a total gamble. Good luck, that repair is a pain.

Feel your pain, happened to my 67 too. Like xena_bailey18 said, it's a real gut punch when that cloth rips. Sourcing a new one is the worst part. I checked with a few classic camera shops, but they were all out. Ended up waiting months for a parts camera listing that looked okay. The whole repair is just fiddly and stressful.
