Heads up: cheap sleeping pad repair kits won't fix a puncture in the baffle seam

I saw three different people at the Lost River campground last weekend trying to patch their inflatable pads right on that inner seam where the baffles connect, and all three were still flat by morning. That spot flexes and pulls apart differently than the main surface, so a standard patch lifts off after an hour of shifting around in your sleep. Has anyone found a reliable way to seal those seam punctures, or is it just time to replace the pad once that happens?

You mentioned the seam where the baffles connect and that's exactly where I had trouble last year. I ended up using a small dab of SeamGrip instead of a patch, let it cure for a full 24 hours before inflating. That stuff stays flexible and bonds to the fabric better than the sticky patches in the repair kits. It held for the rest of the season until I finally replaced the pad anyway.

Honestly, SeamGrip works fine but you gotta let it cure way longer than 24 hours in cold weather.
