My stove fuel canister failed on a solo trip near Yosemite last fall

I was 8 miles in and the propane valve just wouldn't seal right, leaking gas everywhere. Had to pack up and hike out early before dark. Has anyone else run into bad canisters from the same batch?

Oh man, that sucks. I had a buddy who brought a brand new canister on a trip and it just started hissing propane inside his pack halfway through day one. He had to bury it in sand and hike out with his whole pack smelling like a gas station lol.

You had a faulty valve too? That leaky gas smell is impossible to get out of gear.
