Spent 4 hours trying to set up a tent before I realized the poles were backwards
I bought this new dome tent last week and thought I was going crazy. The poles just would NOT fit into the sleeves no matter how I bent them. After about 3 hours of struggling and almost ripping a hole in the fabric, my wife walked over and flipped the whole pole set around. It clicked together in like 2 minutes flat. Has anyone else ever had a gear setup that took way longer than it should have because you missed something obvious?

Has this ever happened to you where you feel like you're fighting something simple and then realize you were just going at it from the wrong angle? I run into that all the time with weird stuff like putting together furniture or even figuring out a new app on my phone. It's funny how our first instinct is to push harder instead of just stepping back and looking at the whole picture.

Instead of pushing harder" - that's the line that got me. Last year I spent an entire afternoon trying to get my garage door opener to work before noticing the remote had a little switch for different frequencies. Once I flipped that, it worked first try. Makes you wonder how many other simple things we overcomplicate just because we're too stubborn to start over.
