Totally get that. Saw a similar thing at my brother's college last month, just a lot of angry yelling with no real point. What were they even protesting?

Honestly I saw a similar thing at a town hall meeting near my neighborhood last spring. About 30 people showed up with signs but nobody could actually say what they wanted besides "do something." @amy_west I think your brother's campus situation sounds a lot like that, just noise without direction. What worked for me was just walking up to a few of them and asking real simple like "what's the one thing you want changed here." Most of them just mumbled something about being heard and that was it. You could tell the whole thing was more about the energy than about solving anything.

Honestly depends what they were protesting. Some campus stuff is just performative outrage.
