The $8 paddling pool that turned my backyard into a swamp

Bought one of those cheap inflatable pools for my kid last Saturday, three hours later it split at the seam and flooded half the lawn. Has anyone else had a kids' toy fail so spectacularly it circled back to being comedy material?

Did you see that story about the guy who bought one of those pools and it ended up flooding his basement too? I swear there was a viral video about it last summer. Anyway, yeah, I had a similar thing with a cheap sprinkler toy that detached and shot water straight into my open window. Lawn turned to mud, my hallway got soaked, and the kid thought it was the best day ever. Honestly, the comedy only works because the damage was just annoying, not dangerous. Still, I bet your swamp is going to be a mosquito farm for the next two weeks, so that part stops being funny fast.
