I hit 500 death threats in one week for saying I don't like pineapple on pizza

Somehow a throwaway joke about pizza toppings on Twitter got me 500 death threats and 3 doxxing attempts in 7 days. Has anyone else gotten piled on for something completely harmless like that?

Were these people actually angry about the pizza take or do you think they were just using it as an excuse to be nasty? I've noticed people online love finding a little harmless thing to pounce on when they're really just mad about something else in their own lives. That much hate seems like it's not really about fruit on bread, you know? What kind of stuff were they even saying in the death threats?

Man, yeah it's just sad. People need to get a grip honestly.
