My cousin said to stop apologizing for old tweets and just leave them up, and 8 months later I have to admit he was right
Back in January I found a tweet from 2014 where I called a movie review "gay" as an insult, and I panicked and deleted about 60 posts in one night. My cousin Marcus, who works in HR at a hospital in Sacramento, told me to stop and put the ones that weren't that bad back up, because deleting stuff looks like hiding and a wiped timeline gets noticed faster. I didn't listen for 3 months, then a guy at a mixer pulled up my account on his phone and asked why my history only went back to April. I explained it, showed him the screenshots I'd saved, and he shrugged and said almost everyone my age has junk like that, the cover up was the weird part. Now I'm wondering if the real move is owning the dumb stuff up front, so has anyone here actually left a bad post up and come out fine?
