Overheard a podcast host admit they never read the full context before posting
Listened to a true crime pod last week where the host straight up said they skim 3 headlines and go. That explains half the cancel pile-ons I see, people judging based on a 10 second clip. Has anyone else noticed how often full transcripts get ignored when a story blows up?
Ugh, that tracks so hard. I saw a story about a chef get roasted last month off one out-of-context clip, then the full video showed the customer was being a total jerk first. Nobody bothered to watch it, the damage was done. Podcasters are the worst for this, they need hot takes for clicks so they skip the homework. A transcript takes five minutes tops, just read the damn thing.
