Serious question about that $500 cancel culture apology workshop

I dropped $500 on one of those online apology workshops last month after seeing it recommended everywhere, and honestly it felt like a bunch of generic advice that didn't help my specific situation. The instructor just kept saying to 'own your impact' without giving real examples of what to actually do when people are angry online. Has anyone else tried one of these programs and actually gotten something useful out of it?

Is it just me or does this feel like the same thing as those life coaches who charge for "accountability"? You drop money but nobody actually tells you the hard truth. The real fix is usually way simpler and cheaper.

Honestly, I gotta push back a little here @drew_hart4. Tbh, I get the suspicion, but I think there's a real difference between someone selling "accountability" as a vague promise and someone actually holding you to your word. A lot of those coaches just take your money and leave you hanging, yeah. But a good accountability setup, even if it's just a friend checking in, can be the thing that gets you off the couch. The real fix is simple in theory, but having someone else in your corner makes it way harder to quit.

Hold up, 500 is way more than those workshops usually charge. Most are like 200.
