Spent $400 on a vintage camera at an estate sale, ended up being cursed

Bought this old Polaroid Land Camera from a garage sale in Ohio for $400, thought I scored a deal. Turns out the previous owner had some kind of scandal around stolen art photos, and now people online are saying I'm supporting that. Has anyone else gotten caught up in something like this after buying used stuff?

Omg that sucks so bad! I bought an old record player from a thrift store once for like $50 and it turned out the guy who owned it was in a band that ripped off a bunch of indie artists. Every time I would try to play a record on it it would skip and make this weird clicking noise, and people online started telling me I was basically supporting his theft. I ended up selling it to a pawn shop for like $20 just to get rid of it. The bad vibes were real. I totally get what you mean about feeling stuck with something you thought was cool. Hope you can offload it without losing too much.

Yo did you ever try to just clean the needle or check the belt before you sold it? Sometimes those thrift store finds just need a little TLC and they work perfectly fine, but I get the bad vibes thing being a dealbreaker.

Sell it online as "cursed." People eat that stuff up, you'll probably get more than $400 for it from some goth kid or horror collector.
