Watching two cancel culture cases back to back really changed my mind on due process
I sat down last night and compared the J.K. Rowling situation from 2020 to that guy in Ohio who lost his welding job over a joke on Facebook last month. Rowling still has her platform and books sell like crazy, but the welder got dropped in 48 hours with no chance to explain himself. I don't think either was handled right, but the speed of the second one really bugged me. Has anyone else noticed how the consequences vary wildly depending on your job or fame level?

Reread that part about the welder losing his job that fast and yeah that's rough man.

Did you try reaching out to local trade unions or apprenticeship programs? I was in a similar spot a few years back, and a buddy told me about the UA union hall near me. I went in and talked to them, and they helped me find a job within a week. It might be worth checking out, even if you're not union yet, they usually know who's hiring.

Yeah the speed of it is what got me too, I went to a temp agency the same week and got hired somewhere else in two days.
