My gym in Phoenix has 6 TVs and 4 are on the same channel, but that's not why I'd cancel it
I was on the treadmill at my gym in Phoenix last week and looked up at the row of 6 TVs. Four of them were on the same sports channel, one was broken, and the last one had a cooking show with no sound. Nobody working there seemed to care when I asked, so I just watched a silent guy flip an omelet for 20 minutes. Is this normal for gyms or is mine just lazy about the remote?
Why do gyms treat the remote like it's some sacred object nobody is allowed to touch? Four TVs on the same channel is wild, like they think we all showed up specifically to watch one game from every possible angle. And the broken one just sitting there dark is the cherry on top. Honestly the silent omelet guy was probably the most entertaining option you had. I'd be more annoyed that nobody at the front desk could be bothered to change it when you asked.
