Rewatching season 1 of a show after it got rebooted, and the writing gap is wild
I binged the first season of this one sitcom again after catching the reboot premiere last Friday, and the jokes in season 1 actually landed while the new version feels like it's reading off cue cards. Same show, same network, but somewhere in between it went from 22 episodes a season down to 10 and the characters lost all their quirks. Did the shorter order kill the writers room, or did the show just lose its best people to other gigs?
