Fired from my HVAC shop in Tucson after 9 years over a Facebook post about a safety bypass
I posted that my old boss kept a warehouse furnace running with the rollout switch jumped out, and I knew about it for 2 years and said nothing. What tipped me off was a kid on my crew asking if jumping switches was normal, and I heard myself say "only when you have to" like it was nothing. Got walked out that Friday with 15 minutes to clear my van, and honestly the shunning hurt worse than the firing. Anyone else lose a job for posting something that was true?
