PSA: picked canned chickpeas over canned black beans for my 3 bean chili and the whole pot cost me $4.20
Stood in the pantry aisle at the Food Lion on 5th for a solid 5 minutes holding a can of chickpeas in one hand and black beans in the other, since I had two bucks left and could grab just one. Went with the chickpeas and dumped them in with a can of diced tomatoes and a can of corn, and honestly the broth came out thicker and creamier than the black bean version I normally make. Does anyone else swap chickpeas into chili, or am I the odd one here?
