Unpopular opinion: Canned tuna is way better than canned chicken for quick meals
I tried both in the same pasta salad last month and the tuna just holds up better without getting mushy. The chicken turned into weird stringy clumps after mixing with mayo. Has anyone else found a way to keep canned chicken from doing that?

Man people really overthink canned meat lol it's not that deep, just eat the one you like better.

Right on about the tuna not getting mushy, that's been my experience too with pasta salad. For the canned chicken I've found if you drain it super well then pat it dry with paper towels before mixing anything in, it holds its shape way better and doesn't turn into those sad little clumps. Still think tuna wins for texture though, especially if you're doing a cold dish.

Had a buddy who swore by canned chicken until he tried that paper towel trick @blake792 suggested, said it saved his tuna melt recipe from turning into paste. He still uses tuna for cold dishes though, says the chicken just can't match it.
