A retired electrician in Boise told me to stop applying for jobs and call his old foreman instead
I was sitting at a diner counter in Boise last month and this guy named Ray started chatting with me after he saw my resume folder. I told him I had sent out 60 applications in 4 months with nothing back, and he said "kid, nobody reads those, you gotta talk to a human." He gave me the number for a foreman he worked with for 18 years, and I got a call back in 2 days. Has anyone else had luck going straight to the person instead of the online portal?
