Hit 100 applications submitted last week and felt nothing

I set a goal back in March to apply to 100 jobs by June. Hit 100 last Tuesday at 2am while eating cold pizza. No callbacks, no interviews, just a number that kept going up. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and realized it didn't change anything?

Hitting 100 applications without any response is a rough milestone, but the number itself doesn't mean much if the apps aren't tailored. Customizing each resume and cover letter to match the job usually gets more traction than just sending out a ton. Focus on quality over quantity and the numbers will start to matter.

Tailoring is everything...

Tailoring really is the key. I spent two months sending out 40 generic apps and got nothing, then I started rewriting my resume for each job with keywords from the posting. Within 3 weeks I had two interviews. The number of apps matters way less than how much time you spend on each one. What industry are you in?
