Read a report that said 40% of managers feel unprepared for their role
I was looking at a study from the Harvard Business Review yesterday. It said four out of ten people promoted to management feel they don't have the right training. That's a huge number, right? Makes you wonder how many companies are just throwing people into the deep end. Has your job ever given you a new title without the tools to actually do it?

Forget training, what about the mental switch? You go from being good at your job to suddenly being responsible for other people's paychecks and career paths. That's a whole different kind of pressure they never teach you. How do you even start to learn that?

Oh man, you're so right. That first time you sign off on a timesheet and realize it's real money for a real person, it hits different. You just have to figure it out as you go, honestly.

Wait, you don't get any training on that stuff either? I figured they'd at least give you a talk about the money part... it's wild they just throw you in like that. No wonder everyone feels lost.
