Took a $15 online certification course on LinkedIn Learning and my resume got auto-rejected by 3 different ATS systems

Turns out those generic keywords from the course made my resume look like a bot wrote it, has anyone else had their skill listings actually hurt their chances?

Learned this the hard way too. Those auto-fill certifications are basically buzzword soup now. You gotta rewrite them in your own words, like what you actually did or learned, not just copy the course title. Also check if your resume has the exact job title and industry terms from the job description you're applying to - that's what gets you past the bots. Spend the time tailoring each resume to one specific job instead of blasting a generic one everywhere.
