Finally caved and bought a cordless track saw

Always thought they were a luxury for cabinet guys, but dropping $600 on the Makita kit changed my mind after a kitchen reno last month. The clean, splinter-free plywood cuts on site saved me hours of cleanup and recuts. Anyone have a good method for storing the track without it getting bent?

Hang it vertically on a wall with a couple of simple brackets, works like a charm.

Ha, funny you mention that @daniel_gonzalez. My buddy Mike tried the vertical mount thing and his track came off the wall three days later, right onto his concrete floor. Left a nice dent and a bent rail. He switched to a homemade wooden rack with padded slots, kept it flat. No bent tracks since.

That's a solid idea from @nathan100. My own attempt at wall mounting ended up looking like a toddler's art project. The brackets were fine, but I definitely measured once and drilled twice.

Vertical wall mount" sounds like a recipe for a bent track to me. I just keep mine under the workbench with a couple of foam blocks.
