Had to rebuild a porch swing in the rain yesterday and my glue just wouldn't set.
It was for a job in Eugene, and the humidity was way higher than I checked for. Anyone have a go-to adhesive for wet conditions?

Epoxy is the only thing that works in a downpour. That regular wood glue turns to soup. The two part stuff kicks off a chemical reaction, so moisture doesn't stop it. You can literally mix it and apply it in the rain. Just get the kind labeled for wet conditions.

So you've actually glued something in a real downpour before?

You tried to glue wood together in Oregon rain? What did you think was gonna happen? Next time just spit on it and hold it tight, probably would have set faster. For real though, get some epoxy made for wet wood, the two part kind. That stuff cures underwater.
