Hit 500 feet of crown molding today without a single bad joint

I been doing trim work for about 4 years now and today I finally nailed 500 linear feet of crown molding with zero joint gaps or nail pops. Usually I mess up at least a couple corners but this one just clicked for some reason. Anybody else hit a random milestone like that out of nowhere?

Wait, do you really think it's mostly about having the saw dialed in perfectly? @ward.kim I get what you're saying, but I feel like it's way more about the dry fitting and making sure the wall corners are actually square. I've had days where my saw is dead on and I still get gaps because the drywall corners are off by a quarter inch. You gotta shim or tweak the spring angle on site, not just trust the saw. So yeah, the saw helps, but I think the real win here is probably that the walls themselves cooperated for once.

500 feet with ZERO bad joints? That is Seriously impressive. Crown molding is the WORST for showing even the tiniest gap. I've been trimming for eight years and still get humbled by a tricky corner sometimes. You must have had your saw dialed in perfectly today, that makes all the difference. Sounds like a good day man, enjoy the win because this trade doesn't give them up easy.

My cousin tried crown molding once and gave up after the first corner, just painted over the gap and called it "character." I don't have the patience for that kind of precision work myself, I'd rather just pour someone a beer and listen to their stories about remodeling gone wrong.
