Hot take: I used to think a chalk line was just a chalk line until I tried a Tajima.
For years I used the same cheap plastic box from the big box store, and the line would fade or snap by lunch. A guy on a framing crew in Austin let me use his Tajima, and the line was still sharp and clear at the end of a hot day. What's one tool you switched that made you realize you were working too hard before?

Switching to a proper framing hammer made swinging that old claw hammer feel like a joke.

That handle shape difference changes your whole swing path without you even realizing it at first.

Totally get what @bettym11 means. I thought it was all the same until a Tajima showed me how wrong I was.

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean. I had the same cheap chalk line for ages and just dealt with the mess. It felt like I was constantly refilling it or the case would crack. Using a good one for the first time was a total shock, like I'd been doing everything wrong. It just works, and you don't waste time fighting with it. That feeling of realizing a tool has been holding you back is so real.
