My table saw kickback on a Saturday in Fresno cost me a thumb nail and a $40 board
I was ripping a 6 foot piece of walnut on my old jobsite saw a couple Saturdays back in my garage and got lazy, no riving knife, no push stick, just my hands close to the blade. The board pinched halfway through and kicked back so fast I didn't even see it move, punched me in the gut and shot the offcut into the garage door. I stood there for a good 30 seconds just breathing, then checked all my fingers, lost a chunk of nail on my left thumb but that's it. Pulled the riving knife out of the bottom of my toolbox where it's been sitting for two years and put it back on that same night. Anyone got a push block design they actually like using, because mine just collects dust?
