Old timer at my local lumber yard told me to stop wiping glue off right away
I was building a dining table last Thursday and this guy named Frank, must be 70 years old, watched me clean up squeeze-out with a wet rag. He said "leave it till it's rubbery, then roll it off with your finger" and I thought he was crazy. Now my joints look way cleaner without that smear mess - has anyone else tried the wait-till-dry method on face frames?

Honestly, I gotta push back a little here. Sometimes a simple fix is just a bandaid for a problem that needs a real solution, and people get so attached to their "tricks" they never bother to see if there's a better way. Plus, relying on word of mouth over an actual manual is kind of how you end up with three different versions of the same bad advice floating around.
