Three years ago in Bend, a client asked for a live edge slab bar top, and now I'm doing at least one a month.

Last week I had to turn down a third request for one because my usual supplier was out of walnut slabs, so has anyone found a good mill for that stuff east of the Cascades?

That trend seems to be fading out here.

Yeah, it really is fading out fast. I noticed it starting to drop off a few months back. It feels like people just got tired of it and moved on to the next thing. What do you think will replace it?

Probably something simpler and less polished. People seem to crave more authentic, raw content now. I wouldn't be surprised if a new video format takes over.
