A rep at the supply house in Dallas told me stretch-in rooms fail 3x more than power stretched, and now I'm second guessing my whole method
I was picking up tack strip last Tuesday and the guy behind the counter said his crew stopped doing stretch-in on anything over 12 feet because the callbacks were killing them. Half the installers I know swear stretch-in is faster and just as good if you knee kick it right, but he claims power stretching adds maybe 15 minutes a room and saves the job. So which is it, are we all just being lazy with the kicker or is he full of it?
