Customer asked me to stretch carpet over a toilet flange

Last month in Phoenix, lady points at the bathroom and says just lay it flat over everything. I told her that's how you get a rotting subfloor and a $400 service call later. She argued the rug would be comfier for her cat. I walked out after she offered me a beer to make it happen. Anyone else get weird bathroom install requests that make zero sense?
