DAE start using a seam roller for every single seam, even the ones you think are fine?

I used to just press down with my hands after taping, figured it was good enough. Last month on a big job in a Denver condo, I forced myself to use the roller on every single seam, even the short ones under doorways. The difference was crazy, like zero visible seam lines after a week compared to maybe one or two lifting before. It only adds maybe 10 minutes to the whole job. What's your go-to trick for making seams disappear completely?

Roller plus a final skim coat is my secret.

Hold up, @king.eric. You use a roller before the final skim coat? That seems backwards. Every pro I know does the skim coat first to fill everything in. Then they sand it smooth. Using a roller after would just add texture again. Makes no sense to me. You're basically undoing the smooth finish.

My Denver crew started using a seam roller on every joint last year. It really does stop those hairline lifts you see after painting. I won't tape a seam without it now.
