Had to choose between a 12-foot seam or moving a grand piano yesterday
The piano won, so I got creative with the seam placement right over a floor vent. It actually looks fine, but I'm waiting for the heat to kick on and see if the carpet bubbles. Anyone ever had a seam hold up over moving air like that?

My old apartment had that same problem. I used to think it was funny until my electric bill hit $300.

Honestly the sail thing sounds kinda cool, free art installation. My buddy's had a vent under a rug for years and it just makes the room heat up faster, no bubbles. Jessechen, don't stress it yet, wait and see what actually happens.
