Just bought a $200 knee kicker from a retiring installer and it's already saved my back on two big jobs.
The extra leverage let me stretch a 15-foot hallway runner solo in under an hour, which used to take me and my helper twice as long.

That's the best kind of tool purchase, when it pays for itself almost right away. Got a used power stretcher years back and had the same "where have you been all my life" moment. The right gear just changes the whole job, makes it feel less like a fight with the carpet. Sounds like you found a real winner there.

Power stretcher's the real game changer though.

Oh man, tell me about it. I used a knee kicker for way too long before I got a real stretcher. Felt like I'd been doing everything the hard way for no reason.

Honestly, that first job with the right tool makes you wonder what you were even doing before.
