Learned a tricky seam trick from an old timer in Denver last week
I was helping on a big commercial job in downtown Denver, and this guy with 30 years experience showed me how to use a hot glue gun to hold seams in place before you cut. Saves so much time compared to trying to tape them down. Has anyone else tried this method or got other tips for keeping seams from shifting?

Oh man, that hot glue trick is a game changer. I've started using a low-temp glue gun on tricky curved seams and it holds way better than tape without leaving a mess.

Hot glue works fine until it doesn't. The issue with curved seams is that fabric type matters a lot more than people give it credit for. Slippery stuff like nylon or coated polyesters will let glue peel right off no matter the temp. @ward.jamie has the right idea with low-temp for most cases though - high temp might be melting the fabric fibers instead of just tacking them. Try testing on scraps first.

Four times out of ten that hot glue pulls off the fabric when I flip the seam. Maybe I'm using the wrong temp or pressing too hard, but tape never fails me on curves.
