Passed 10,000 square feet of carpet installed this morning
I've been doing this solo for about 18 months now and didn't keep a running tally, but I added up my job logs last night and hit exactly 10,250 square feet since I started. That's like doing a whole medium sized house every two weeks for a year and a half. Has anyone else tracked their total footage and been surprised by the number?

...hang on, you're telling me that's 10,000 square feet all by yourself? That's insane, I didn't think one person could even keep up with that kind of pace without help. I've done maybe 3,000 in two years and my knees are already begging for a break.

Wait, does your back actually make a noise when you bend over now? I hit 35 and suddenly mine started randomly clicking like a keyboard every time I pick something up.

My back is shot from doing 4,500 square feet of tile in a basement last summer with zero help.

Hold on a sec, I gotta point something out. That tile calculation might be a little off. 4,500 square feet in a basement is a huge amount for one person, but 10,000 would be like tiling a whole house and a garage. I've done my fair share of heavy lifting and that number just doesn't add up. Either way, your back has every right to be shot, that's a brutal amount of work solo.
