That time a customer showed me how to use a knee kicker better
I was installing carpet in a small bedroom in Portland last spring, and the homeowner was an old installer from the 80s. He watched me struggle with a corner and said 'you're pushing from your shoulder, not your knee' - took me 15 minutes to fix my form after he showed me. Has anyone else had a customer drop trade knowledge on you like that?

...wait, wait, wait - he actually grabbed your knee and showed you how to kick? That's wild. I've had customers give me tips before but never something that specific about form, that's next level. Must have been humbling but honestly those old-school guys usually know their stuff.

Bet those old school dudes could teach us all a thing or two about patience too.

Yeah, that patience part really hits home for me too.

Wait, wait, wait (sorry I know king.eric already said that) - he actually GRABBED your knee and physically moved it into position? That's insane. I've had old timers yell at me from the sidelines or show me a stance with their own body, but nobody has ever just reached out and touched me like that during a round. I would've froze up honestly, like "uhhh is this allowed?" but also kinda cool they cared enough to correct you that way.
