That time a seam split right in front of the homeowner in Portland
I was finishing a big living room job with a plush 12-foot roll, and right as I stood up to admire the work, I heard a quiet rip. The seam I'd just heat-sealed on a tricky corner near the fireplace had popped open about an inch. The client, Mr. Jenkins, was literally walking into the room with his coffee. I just calmly said, 'Give me two minutes,' grabbed my seam iron, and re-activated the tape with a slower, heavier pass. Has anyone else had a seam fail at the worst possible moment, and what's your go-to fix?

Give me two minutes" is a risky promise with seams.

Ugh, @faith_shah88, my dad said that before fixing a leak once.

Seams don't usually leak, that's the pipe itself.
