Black Friday blackout made me see the value of cash in a digital age

I was all in on digital payments (so convenient!), but when the power went out at the mall on Black Friday, I realized how easily our spending can be controlled by tech failures.

Ugh I'm already there honestly. I never have cash on me anymore so it feels weird when I do. Hope we at least remember basic math!

Tbh I'm already struggling with it when I do get cash. My brain just freezes up and I have to really think about it.

Remember when they used to make us count back change in school? I mean, I haven't done that for a real person in years. I just hand over whatever the screen says and hope the drawer opens.
