My bank froze my account for 3 days after a big purchase in Chicago.
The fraud alert was triggered by their algorithm, and I couldn't buy groceries. Makes you wonder who really has the final say on your money, right?

Call them before big buys, they'll flag it.

Ever have a friend try to buy a used car out of state? Same thing happened to her, account locked for "suspicious activity" while she was standing at the dealer. She had to call and basically beg to use her own cash. Makes you feel like you're just renting your money from them, doesn't it?

Ugh, that's so frustrating. But what happens when you really need that money in an emergency and the bank's system just says no? It feels like they hold all the power over your own life.
