My barber in Tulsa told me he keeps $400 cash hidden in his truck for gas now
Last week my barber mentioned he hides $400 cash in his truck for gas because two stations near him quit taking bills in June. He said the last time a card reader went down he sat there for 20 minutes while the manager rebooted the whole system. I get why people like the speed of tapping a phone, but hearing him talk about stashing money like it's contraband stuck with me. If a fill up of gas needs a backup plan now, what else are we quietly losing the option for? Curious how many of you still keep cash somewhere just in case.
