My car battery died in a parking lot and I couldn't buy a jump from a stranger
This happened last Tuesday at the grocery store in Bakersfield. My car wouldn't start, and a nice guy offered to give me a jump. He had cables, but he only uses digital payment apps now. I had $12 in my wallet, but he had no way to take it. We just stood there for a minute before he shrugged and drove off. Has anyone else been stuck because they couldn't make a simple cash deal?

Man that's rough. It's wild how even a simple jump start turns into a payment app ordeal now. @xena_bailey18 I totally get the cart thing too, same kind of hassle for no reason.

Was it the same guy with the red truck? I tried to pay a kid five bucks to watch my cart while I ran back for milk, but he only wanted Venmo. I had to drag the whole thing with me.

That's why I keep a five dollar bill folded up in my phone case. Cash still works for these little things.
