My monthly app spending report showed $47.29 in 'microtransactions' I forgot about

I got my bank's digital spending summary email yesterday and it had a section for app store purchases. It added up all those $1.99 music boosts, $0.99 game lives, and $2.99 filter packs from the last month. Seeing that total, $47.29, written out as one number really hit me. I never would have noticed that if I was just handing over cash, it just silently added up from my phone. It made me realize how easy it is to lose track when every purchase is just a tap. Has anyone else had a moment where the digital trail showed you something about your spending you didn't know?

Is it really that bad though? That's less than two fancy coffees a week for a whole month of little treats. Maybe the real problem is just not checking your bank stuff often enough.

Have you tried turning on purchase confirmations for every single app buy?

That setting is a lifesaver. It forces a pause before any money leaves your account, which breaks the autopilot spending. The extra step makes you actually think, "Do I need this?" It saved me a ton on those little game currency packs.
