PSA: I read that Sweden has less than 1% of its economy in cash now
I saw a report on the news last night that said Sweden is basically running on digital payments, with physical money barely used. It made me wonder if that's our future everywhere, and who gets to decide if a transaction goes through. Has your town started to feel like cash is disappearing too?

Is cash really dead or are we just making it harder to use? Even in Sweden they keep some bills around for emergencies, so I don't think we're there yet. Cards and phones are nice until they're not, and that backup plan is everything.

Yeah, the "who gets to decide" part is the real kicker. I keep a small cash stash for emergencies because I've had a card reader fail at a farmer's market. It's not just about tech failing, it's about having a backup plan.
