Rant: My grandma's $2 cash tip got rejected at a food truck in Denver
Tbh, she handed over a crumpled five and the kid at the counter said they only take cards or app payments, so she just stood there holding it. She ended up paying with my phone, but I could tell she felt useless, and now I'm wondering how we help older folks when cash stops being an option at all? Has anyone else run into this with a family member?

Plenty of places still take cash, so one food truck in Denver doesn't mean the whole world is going cashless tomorrow. Your grandma probably felt awkward for a minute, but she got fed and life went on. Maybe just keep a card handy for her next time instead of turning it into a big thing about society.
