The cafe that only takes cards changed my mind about cashless
I used to roll my eyes at places going cashless, thought it was just a way to track everyone. But last month I forgot my wallet at home and only had my phone on me at a small coffee shop in Portland. They let me pay with a tap, no hassle, and I realized how stuck I'd be in spots that still demand bills. Now I see the convenience side, though I still worry about what happens when the network goes down. My question is, how do you handle a cash-free store when your battery dies or your card gets flagged?
