Venmo changed my mind about going cashless

I used to be the guy who always carried $40 cash just in case. Six months ago my friend owed me $15 for pizza and Venmo'd me the same night. I figured digital payments were just for splitting bills but then my landlord started taking rent through Zelle. Now I barely touch cash except for the farmers market on Saturdays. What convinced you that cashless wasn't all bad?

Man everything's shifting to apps now even my barber takes Square for haircuts.

@the_wade you got me thinking with that "shifting to apps" thing because I used to be all for it, thinking it was just modern and convenient. But @james_bell you're right, I never realized how many little things now need their own app, and it's honestly kind of exhausting keeping track of them all. You ever just miss paying for something without pulling out your phone?

Yeah @the_wade you hit on something real there. That "shifting to apps" part is exactly what bugs me. Every little transaction now needs its own dang app with notifications and updates and whatnot. What happened to just handing over cash and getting on with your day? I swear pretty soon we'll need an app just to open the front door.
